Telethon

Telethon is a power pop/indie punk band from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. They've been around since 2014 and have 5 LPs and one EP out, all mostly revolving around the mundane anxieties of modern living. They're known around their home town for their rambunctious live show and ambitious approach to making albums, including 2017's five act rock opera, "The Grand Spontanean". Their latest LP "Swim Out Past the Breakers" came out in August 2021. It's 16 songs long (including the Clerks 3 appearing "Positively Clark Street"!), spans a whole smorgasbord of genres, and features a slew of guest musicians -- including the Hold Steady's Franz Nicolay, the Jayhawks' Gary Louris, Future Teens, Oceanator, Chris Farren, and more. As one reviewer put it, "This is pop so powerful it's feeding straight into the electrical grid." Telethon is constantly working on new music, and hopes to have some brand spankin' new in time for this wonderful maritime excursion. They are beyond excited to be a part of the Jay and Silent Bob Cruise Askew and are sincerely hoping that no member of the band is forced to swab the poop deck or walk the plank.
